We wrapped up our last outdoors event of the year with a nice sunny walk down Ocean beach to Funston beach. Crab season was in full swing with the beach strewn with fishing poles. Someone showed us how they lure the crabs with squid bait, and safely handle them. Join us next time

Today witnessed a historic moment: the unveiling of a new bronze sculpture on campus, of Prof. Joseph T. Gier, the first black tenured professor in the entire @UofCalifornia system (and he was in @Berkeley_EECS!). Managed to grab a photo with the sculptor Dana King @danaking60
