We cannot advance legislation that makes the climate crisis worse. The Exxon-designed “bipartisan” infrastructure plan worsens emissions, but pairing it w/clean energy in Build Back Better neutralizes BIF’s harm and lets us tackle the climate crisis. We cannot afford to gut it.
Breaking News: The heart of President Biden's climate agenda — a push to replace coal- and gas-fired power plants — is said to likely be cut from the budget bill because Senator Joe Manchin opposes it. nyti.ms/3aHKAv7
Front line fossil fuel workers & communities deserve to benefit from a just transition to clean energy.
Gotta think @SenMarkey, @SenSanders, @SenTinaSmith and others won't stand for this. #NoClimateNoDeal
Young people didn’t vote for fossil fuels and they’re willing to put their bodies on the line to stop this industry from destroying their future. Such a powerful scene here at the US Capitol. #PeopleVsFossilFuels
This week, The ABC's of Big Oil podcast from @WeAreDrilled x @EARTH3R looks at the fossil fuel industry's takeover of HIGH SCHOOL curricula. It all starts with Gifford Pinchot, known as the "Father of Forestry." Listen: bit.ly/3atY6lO

Michael Mann: 'We have to transition away from fossil fuels towards renewable energy'

I'm sending out a plea—to @POTUS @JoeBiden, @GovTimWalz, @amyklobuchar, @TinaSmithMN—any leader who will listen. We need an #EISbeforeOil goes into Line 3. Enbridge got their jobs, they committed their crime. Stop them now before more harm is done.
What people need to understand is that there’s a profit motive to spread misinformation, to undermine democracy, to deny people healthcare and education and effectively make life as miserable and exploitive as possible.
We appreciate these words from Governor Walz, but we need action - on stopping Line 3, on transportation, on regenerative agriculture, on shutting down fossil fuels. Those who live in the world we create will remember what we did, not what we said.
This Climate Week, we are reminded that the cost of climate change is clearer than ever. Together, let’s recommit to combating climate change to protect the health and beauty of our state for generations to come. #OurMNClimate🌎
