Ethereum currently has a flaw in blob pricing: when L1 gas is high, L2s stop posting blobs. Blobs then become extremely cheap - because Ethereum misinterprets this low usage as low demand for blobspace. EIP-7918 (coming in Fusaka) fixes this with a reserve price tied to L1 gas.
