It’s a nightmare on our streets and nothing is scarier than a dirty one. Happy Halloween Happy Hour Cleanups at Pinsa Rossa on Fillmore and at Richmond Republic Draught House on Clement. In an hour, we turned the surrounding neighborhood into a dream. Pick it up SF!
Back out there to do some maintenance of some Pocket Gardens in the Inner Richmond. We cleaned out, weeded, remulched, watered, and planted a few new plots. And, testing out the Maintenance Form created in @airtable to help us track the growing number of pocket gardens.
2 cleanups today showing the wide age range of volunteers helping. Cleanup with the senior community run by non-profit Human Good in the Fillmore. Then, out with the Mud Boys afterschool program to clean around Duboce Park. Old, young, & everyone in between can keep SF clean!

Typical overcast morning beach cleanup with 2B Living Property Management who took time out of their day to help clean Ocean Beach. A dozen volunteers cleared a dozen bags of trash in under 2 hours. The fire pits are still out there, so join our Saturday beach cleanup at 10am.
Right back at it with the McKinley Elementary after school program cleaning the Sunset Dunes again. A week later and the beach was cleaner than before, we only filled 4 bags instead of the 9 bags before. You mean cleanups work?!?! Great job kids and teachers!
Couldn’t ask for better weather for an afternoon beach cleanup with Sequoia Real Estate. 6 of us cleared 7 bags of trash in under 1.5 hours and left the already pretty clean beach and surrounding area absolutely spotless. Always more to clean, let’s keep it going ya’ll!
While many were protesting No Kings this past weekend in San Francisco, 500 volunteers were protesting No Trash in our environment, removing 525 bags of trash from our streets, parks, and beaches. Everyday is a great day to say No to litter pollution. Let's pick it up SF!
Kicking off the weekend in San Francisco at the Clement Street Happy Hour Cleanup! 50 strong thanks to regular volunteers, first timers, and Canvas Church who helps out every year for their Love Week community service. A buffet of 32 cleanups this weekend to choose from!
Out nice and early on this gorgeous day at Ocean Beach for a cleanup with students from Burke’s School. 5th & 6th grade girls fanned out along the beach and into Golden Gate Park to pick up over a dozen full bags of litter pollution. Adults can do it too, come out this weekend!
Back to back cleanups with students; small humans doing big things. New cohort of 6th graders at Millennium School went out & cleaned Jefferson Square Park. Group of 4/5th graders from the McKinley after school program met at Sunset Dunes to clean the beach. Anyone can do it!
Our regulars and new volunteer cleanup captain, a student from @usfca, joined the Richmond Library Cleanup and cleared 5 bags for trash from the surrounding area. Especially satisfying knowing that this place where so many children come to has a clean and safe environment.
Helped kick off the new cleanup & walking club with residents and staff of Human Good, a non-profit that manages several low-income senior residences in the Fillmore neighborhood. They’re now all geared up with the cleaning tools and will be going out 2x a month to clean!
