Sen. Emily Randall
@RepEmilyRandall
WA State Senator 26th LD🌲Queer Chicana 🌈 1st Gen College Grad & Higher Ed Chair👩🏽🎓Health Care Champ👩🏻⚕️Connecting Communities ⛴🌉🚙 she/her/ella
Talking education & workforce, housing & “vegetable husbandry” (my words, not the Extension’s 😉) with the @WSU_Cougar_Pres and team over good food at Axe & Arrow. Thanks for visiting the 26th!
We had the opportunity to thank @SenEmilyRandall for all her support for #WSU and WA Higher Ed during the 2023 legislative session and to start talking about opportunities for the 2024 session. It was fun spending time in #Bremerton! #GoCougs

We know in our post-Roe world we must explore every option to ensure WA’s long legacy of safeguarding reproductive freedom continues. That’s why we passed SB 5768 to protect access to mifepristone, so our neighbors can get the abortion care they need when they need it. #WALeg
If you need an abortion or gender affirmation care & it’s no longer legal in your home state, Washington is a safe place for you. We strengthened our commitment moments ago by passing the Shield Law off the Senate floor & sending it to the Governor for signature. 💜💜💜
We talk a lot about companion bills in the #WALeg. But what does that term mean? Rep. Spencer Hutchins and I break it down and talk about our companion bills (SB 5292/HB 1334) to support our local passenger-only ferries. ⛴️
Happy #TransVisibilityDay to all our trans & nonbinary neighbors. In Washington, we will never ever, ever give up on our work to expand access to care for all folks — no matter where they live, their age or the pronouns they use. #WALeg

Big news, y’all. 👇🏽 The state Supreme Court upheld the capital gains excise tax—a major step forward to fixing our upside-down tax code. This will inject much-needed funding into childcare support for working parents & provide relief for low- to middle-income taxpayers. #WALeg

Did you hear the news?! My first bill passed the House floor today. 🥳 #SB5394 support physicians trained at international medical schools in providing care in Washington by helping grow practice opportunities. #WALeg

I loved the questions and feedback I heard from neighbors this weekend at our four town halls! We talked about everything from health care access and public safety to transportation and housing. Can’t wait for another opportunity to connect in real time soon!

Join us at one of our four town halls THIS Saturday! 📍Bremerton: 9-10 a.m. at Olympic College, Building 4 📍Port Orchard: 12-1 p.m. at South Kitsap High School 📍Gig Harbor: 2-3 p.m. at Swift Water Elementary School 📍Key Peninsula: 4:30-5:30 p.m. Longbranch Improvement Club

We’re just TWO days away from my 1st virtual town hall of the year! Join me from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11. Want to send some questions in advance? Drop ’em in the comments. Talk soon!
Just passed my 3rd 💥unanimous💥 bill off the Senate floor! #SB5732 catches low-income seniors, veterans and folks with disabilities who currently qualify for property tax relief from getting bumped off due to this year’s social security increase. #WALeg

So fun to see such excited and engaged kiddos on the Senate floor yesterday for Children’s Day! 💥🏛️ They received an up-close view of their government in action and watched us pass two bills. Can't wait to see their faces in the #WALeg one day! 🤩
