This week, over 2,416 graduate workers voted in the Strike Authorization Vote. With a final result of 2,229 to 187, 92% voted YES! Our Strike Authorization Vote passed with a strong mandate, and the Bargaining Committee is now authorized to call for a strike if necessary.
My legislation expanding the use of juvenile diversion programs just passed out of the Children & Youth Committee with broad bipartisan support, 21-5. Juvenile diversion reduces community violence. It saves state money. It gives kids second chances. Diversion works!
