When people complain about error handling in Go it strikes a nerve. Make things easy to understand not easy to do. Yes, error handling can feel tedious at times, but it’s one of the most important aspects of the code you’re writing. So embrace and appreciate the moment.

The nice part about a monolith is it’s only one box on an architecture diagram.
"Don't reimplement locks" is advice I didn't expect to find in "Go in Practice". Have to say reimplementing a fundamental part of the language had never crossed my mind. But I now feel I need to go and look at the implementation... #golang
