I’m a true believer in training children to one day (as kids) be able to go & explore their community. On a beautiful Saturday, my 16 and 10 year old ride the bus to the KC Wheel and my only worry and constant reminder is “stay on the sidewalk, be careful walking!” #VisionZero

OTD in 2006, I mourned the passing of Buck O’Neil. He was 94. It’s still hard to believe that’s it’s been 18 years since my friend & mentor died because everywhere I go someone has a Buck story & I never get tired of hearing them! Buck’s legacy plays on at the @NLBMuseumKC!
