This is true for everyone who has ever had an Achilles injury. If practices/plays this week it will tear completely.
I always want at least one unprotected first round pick, there are plenty of examples where that pick wasn't in the 20's (Ottawa - Duchene Trade, San Jose - Karlsson Trade). Don't minimize first round picks if you are willing to accept prospects drafted outside the first.
