Teachers make mistakes; they get sick; they get sad; they get nervous; they get frustrated. As it turns out... teachers are human. And this is ok. There can be value in showing some vulnerability in the classroom. It makes teachers “real.” And authenticity is always compelling.
Our posture in the classroom should be: Believe in the Good; kids want to do good and be recognized for the good they do. Separate the child from the behavior. They are not what they do! Behavior is not their label. Kids will do the best they can under their given circumstances
