This is the kind of content Elon thinks we should pay him $8 for. I’m down, as long as my full first $8 goes directly to Steve for sharing the story of George Young!

George Young was a 4-time Olympian and Olympic bronze medalist in the steeplechase. He passed away two days ago at the age of 85. My favorite story of Young's is how serving in the military helped propel him from relative unknown onto his 1st Olympic team:

Thanks to @Run161com for reaching out and featuring me in his newsletter that dropped today. Good content in here, including protein for #runners and @tommy_rivs at the NYC Marathon. mailchi.mp/9a53d8b8d781/r… #runchat

Always good to get some neutral and unbiased feedback 🥹😆

Top content this week, no bias at all!

Now here’s a startup idea I’d pay $8/month for.

Thought experiment... What if other things were optimized to mood? E.g. what if instead of showing you posts that get a lot of interaction, Twitter had a smiley face scale from angry to happy and it showed you more posts ranked as happy smileys? #WhatAWonderfulWorldItWouldBe

Don’t be a recovery day halfstepper.

There’s a common thread here… people are fond of old style trainers, and want them back! What are your best suggestions?

Always used to do all training in adidas Boston and adios for racing. But now everything’s gone chunky I’m hanging on to an old pair and not sure what to run in next

Adios 2 and rotating down to old-style shoes once in a while to get some much needed strength.

What are your favourite running shoes? I’ve trimmed my rotation down to the bare necessities (don’t ask my wife is she agrees) and with Black Friday looming, it’s time for a restock. Hit me with your favourites!
