Normally my commute from Rockaway is about a hour and 15 minutes by car in the morning (it’s much less at night). Today, google maps said it would take an hour and three minutes. 12 minutes saved isn’t worth the $9 to me - so on the ferry I go.

Today I was crossing Hollywood and Highland, where peds & tourists cheered a just-married couple celebrating in the middle of the intersection while a fire ravaged a strip mall down the street. I've lived in LA my whole life, and this is the most LA candid I've ever snapped.
