1/ To anyone who’s been wondering how they’re supposed to keep track of all the bike / mobility events happening in and around LA, the folks at Trash Panda Cycling and I are putting together a calendar to try to help solve this: bit.ly/LAbikeevents

A new transportation comic, "Moving From Cars To People," offers a succinct & fun intro to a complicated topic: namely, how the built environment in the US came to be designed for cars and what we can do about it. Check it out: nitc.trec.pdx.edu/news/moving-ca…

Make Sunset Blvd a safer place to shop, dine, and travel with Sunset for All. Adding protected bike lanes could reduce the number of bikes & scooters on the sidewalk by up to 90%, without removing any travel lanes. We need to start expediting these community-led projects.

The EU just announced its 2020 road fatalities: 18,800, down 17% from 2019. In the USA, 38,680 died last year, up 7% and the highest total since 2007. (Note, the EU pop. is 1/3 larger) Something is very wrong with the American approach to road safety. transport.ec.europa.eu/news/road-safe…

The problem with cyclists: -They go too fast -They go too slow -They won't get on the sidewalk -They won't get off the sidewalk -They are rich hobbyists -They are folks who can't afford a car -They are entitled and demand bike lanes -They take the lane when there's no bike lane
