Ask the grieving families if they give a rat’s ass what AR really means, you overeducated manchild. An “assault weapon” ban should apply to weapons like the AR-15 even if the A doesn’t stand for “assault.” And the M16, though it doesn’t even have an A and the M stands for model.
PSA: The AR in “AR style weapon” is NOT an acronym for *assault rifle* or *automatic rifle* Avoid making this nomenclature mistake. AR is actually shorthand for the company, ArmaLite, that designed weapon in 1950’s, & rifle. ArmaLite Rifle = AR Best to understand description.
