Ignore them. My youngest used to seek out my hand to hold and I adored it. When he was older he used to say ‘Mummy I need your hand’ and he’d go to sleep so quickly! Now he still likes me there but doesn’t ask as much, cherish these moments, they make the most precious memories.

And the good news is... that the Greek authorities say the Syrian refugees who had been stranded on an islet on the Turkish border have now been provided with food and water, and transported to a camp. Hopefully 9 year old Aya, stung by a scorpion, will get medical attention.

We continue to be gravely concerned for the safety and wellbeing of some 40 people allegedly stranded on an islet at the Greece-Türkiye border. According to reports received a child has tragically already died. Unless urgent action is taken, we fear further lives remain at stake
