Whatever we do next, it won't be what we had together: it might not be as great, it might not be as unique, it might not be as much of a vibe, it might not be as cool, or as funny, but we 'had a time'. I’m just thankful and appreciative to you all.
I am no longer behind the bus bar. My departure is a surprise to me as it might be to others. The bus is "going in a different direction" and I'm not along for the ride. I'm "not the right fit." Or something. So that's that.
Thank you to each and every performer who got up there and had the courage to contribute to our Open-Mic Night and share their talent. Thank you to all the bands and performers who gave their time, talents and energy to perform. You are awesome. Thank you all.
It was a community, a growing one, and one that contributed to the fabric and character of the establishment, but at the moment, will not carry on for the foreseeable future.
We will not be holding OpenMic Music Night tonight. I apologize to all the singer-songwriters, performers, musicians, bands we booked in the upcoming months for feature nights, but the live music initiative - Open-Mic Night & Feature Band/Performer Night - has been discontinued.
