Something interesting happened with Clip It this past week. We launched an update that dynamically loads scenes as they're needed instead of keeping all 184 of them in ReplicatedStorage Our crash rates fell to 1/3 of their previous values.. for 2 days Then.. (1/2)
Crash rates went back up, but we also hit new (organic, non-Roblox event) CCU records. I think those 2 days the devices that usually crashed didn't, the Roblox algo saw this, realized it could serve us to even lower-end devices, and brought the rates back up as a result. (2/3)
Here's our <2GB memory CCU growing after the update This a major win for us, as it means more people are playing Clip It overall, and the experience is smoother. We're going to keep pushing hard on performance improvements and hopefully repeat this cycle!
It depends on how bad your performance is. Clip It is/was probably one of the most memory-intensive games on the platform, causing tons of crashes and likely nerfing us since launch. I imagine if your crash rates are closer to 3% you wouldn't see much benefit from optimization
