I understand the BBC may be looking for a new chairman soon. Nadine Dorries may be available soon.

Targeting Albanians (as some shamefully did when fighting for Brexit) as the cause of Britain’s crime and border problems makes for easy rhetoric but ignores hard fact. Repeating the same things and expecting different results is insane (ask Einstein!)

Oh dear. @RestoreTrustNT are sad. ⚡️If you’re a @nationaltrust member, please vote today. See next tweet⚡️ /1.

I’m sorry you’re upset. I think many would agree, on the evidence of your tweet, you really don’t sound very nice though. But that’s up to them. I know perfectly well what your agenda is, who you are, and how you operate. So let’s not be silly. Best of luck with the AGM.

How does the proposed UK approval regime for #Fracking, which produces expensive, CO2 generative methane compare to that for low carbon onshore wind? Surely a lighter touch must apply for the latter.

Very useful background on what’s going on with energy prices in the UK. Impact of regulation & super profits flowing to the Treasury via fixed prices / CfDs for renewables and nuclear.

There is much talk happening on how to solve the so-called cost-of-living crisis. Most of it fails to recognise that the problem is much bigger than that: the whole economy is in meltdown. None seems to address the cost of energy itself. A thread on the last, vital, point….

So here's my collection of Braverman's low points 1/ this nonsense claim about EU contributions

The utter insanity of the #brexit jihadist Suella Braverman on how much we could expect to get from the EU after #brexit.

In April 2018 during Skripal crisis Boris Johnson travelled to Italy without officials or security & met former KGB agent Alexander Lebedev (since sanctioned by Canada for links to Putin) Why have Ministers covered up this disgraceful breach of national security? My Qs to Govt.

I have supported Boris Johnson for 15 years, for the London Mayoralty and for PM. Very sadly, I have written to him to say I can no longer do so, for the reasons set out below.

This Week In Covid. 1. To the surprise of pretty much no sane person, another wave of Covid took hold this week. On the flip-side, the 5th (or is it 6th?) wave in two years served another dose of reality... #TheWeekInCovid

I wonder if what looks ever more like a huge military, economic, and strategic disaster for Russia is a product of a category error by Putin, who failed to appreciate what type of Russian military action he was starting. (A thread – apologies for the length.)
