They pushed kids back into schools without protections to infect the kids in pursuit of a foolish herd immunity play, while insisting that kids are not harmed by COVID and claiming that missing school would slow their development. And now, oops, “pronounced cognitive slowing.”

If you’re a business and you are inaccessible and your response is “We don’t get many disabled customers,” you just don’t get it. Disabled people aren’t the problem. Barriers and inaccessibility are the problem. You are keeping us out.

It's a damn shame and utter embarrassment that this country as a whole learned nothing from the past few years.

Well, I’ve just had to turn down another opportunity to present at a conference as everything is back to f-2-f. No hybrid options for people like me. The lack of accommodation for folks with LC and those wanting to be careful for the people they love is killing our careers 😢

When COVID-19 surfaced in 2020, the medical field missed something, and it cost lives. Airborne viruses can travel much further than originally thought. To curb infection, we should have focused on indoor air systems. @DrLaPook reports, Sunday. 60Minutes.com

Today during yoga, the instructor spoke about trees becoming their strongest in autumn. Because they aren’t bearing fruit or producing leaves, all of their energy is pushed down into the roots. So what externally appears as death, is actually the catalyst for new life.

I’m starting to think that one of the biggest hurdles we face as a society when it comes to facing climate, pandemics and other crises, is the fact that for many (most?) humans being perceived as “weird” is worse than almost anything else.

Like HIV/AIDS, the best thing we can do is encourage new biomedical researchers into the field of #LongCovid and support the ones already in the field doing amazing work. The worst thing to do is alienate exceptional researchers & demotivate people from joining the field.
