We had a huge turnout for the Springburn Winter Gardens Trust's historical walking tour as part of Glasgow Doors Open Day! If you have time on Sunday afternoon, come up to the @auditoriumcic in the park from 4 pm to discuss @SpringburnWG's restoration plan for the Winter Gardens
My free historical walking tour of Springburn Park for @SpringburnWG is back for @Glasgowdodf this Saturday at 1 pm - meeting at the park gates on Broomfield Road. There's also a public meeting at 4 pm on Sunday in the @auditoriumcic shed about the plan to restore Winter Gardens

As ever, lots of interest in our @SpringburnWG Christmas Market stall. The community overwhelmingly supports restoration of the hothouse after 41 years of dereliction. Hopefully, 2025 will be the year we finally secure the capital funding needed to start much needed renovations.
I really enjoy doing my historical walking tour of Springburn Park and @SpringburnWG for @Glasgowdodf each year. It was great to see Springburn featuring so prominently in this year's Doors Open Day!

After discussions with the owner of the former North British Locomotive Company headquarters in Springburn, I am pleased he has agreed to progress with an alternative plan to convert the A-listed building into student accommodation, instead of demolition. reglasgow.com/hundreds-of-st…
