Devastated to hear that the Mayor will be ripping out the school street scheme around Chisenhale Primary School on Monday. This scheme was designed to protect our borough's children from air pollution and cars. A shameful and irresponsible act.

Sad news reaching us that this evening @TowerHamletsNow are indeed ripping out School Street safety measures outside Chisenhale Primary School in Bow. It's hard to comprehend why @LutfurRahmanTH and his colleagues would want to put young kids at risk in this way.
Saturday 12 November: a #KidicalMass ride to save the school street and play space at Chisenhale Road! The route will take in the safe space for cycling at Old Bethnal Green Road, which is also under threat from @TowerHamletsNow
The Labour administration delivered this school street and others across Tower Hamlets. School Streets allow children to Skip, cycle and walk safely to school. The Mayor without any consultation or dialogue has decided to rip this out.sign this petition. Thlabour.org/chisenhale
