My doctoral defense was today, and… I passed! Thank you to everyone who came in-person and virtually! I’ve had so much support throughout this entire process and am so grateful for everyone who has helped me along in this journey.

The dissertation defense disaster dreams have started--so that's fun 🫠 Last night's was that my laptop updated to a completely different OS and I couldn't find the programs I needed to do my presentation. But joke's on my subconscious 'cuz my laptop is too old for updates now🥴

Sometimes, when things (like thunder) get scary, you just need a fort under Mom’s desk. Lucy, the black lab, is the one afraid of thunder. Her sister, Rosie, has FOMO and the need to snuggle with somebody when she sleeps.
Why yes I did manage to get a conf. abstract drafted, edited, and submitted within 24 hours while in the middle of written comps revisions, finalizing and setting up a lab exam, and after having 9 people at my house for thanksgiving for the first time. How is your week going? 🥴
