You may have seen the news earlier this month about our secretary, Craig Slawson who passed away eirlier this month. His funeral will be held at 2pm on Thursday 5th March at Carmountside Crematorium, and then afterwards at Trent Country Club, for anyone who wishes to attend.

This is such a sad week for Staffordshire conservation. Roger was an enormous figure and knew the county like no other. He will be missed not only for his vaste knowledge but his charm and witt. I’ll miss him greatly. @SISF_2020 @StaffsInverts
We have heard sad news that Roger Hill passed away on Monday. Roger was county ecologist for Staffordshire for approximately 30 years, retiring in 2004. Roger was instrumental in the establishment of Local Wildlife Sites in the county and co author of the Flora of Staffordshire.
