Generators can be deadly in 2 ways. They put off carbon monoxide fumes; run them well away from windows, doors & screen porches. Never run indoors. Also, never hook them directly to household wiring unless done by a licensed electrician; backfeed can kill linemen making repairs.
Downed trees are one of the leading causes of death in any storm with high winds. Monitor the health of trees around your home and keep them trimmed to reduce the risk of damage or injuries.
Floodwaters are extremely dangerous and unpredictable. It only takes six inches of fast-moving water to knock you over and only two feet to carry away vehicles. Remember: NEVER drive, walk or swim through flooded waters. Learn more: ready.gov/floods

Computer models are coming together, but remember that track and intensity are based on several factors, including atmospheric troughs and ridges that do what they want to do, not necessarily what we expect them to do. #HurricaneIan #Ian
[Saturday, 9/25 Ian Update] Model runs continue to fluctuate, but overall consensus remains a landfall is likely somewhere between Tampa and Panama City, FL. A farther east track favors stronger & earlier landfall - but even a weaker landfall is still capable of major impacts.
