Nope, I know plenty that got in and out. They got preference over those of stranded along with actors, tennis players & other sports stars. No pity party, just pure anger at our treatment. We won’t forget & we won’t forgive.

Sometimes I find time is reducing my trauma of being a #strandedaussies, and then I look at the comments of any of Latika’s posts about the borders and remember just how fucking deplorable Au$tralians are.
All the Premiers who locked Australians out of their own country during the pandemic are now gone. #StrandedAussies Yet Australia is still not brave enough to hold a proper inquiry into its China-style Zero Covid response, with @AlboMP exempting states' decisions from scrutiny.
Palaszczuk was another state leader who abandoned #StrandedAussies without a second thought for her own political advantage. Buh-bye and good riddance.

Vic govs's hotel quarantine had most leaks & was closed 8 months. Vic took least international arrivals per capita of all states, locked down longest, kept borders closed longest & trashed the Astra Zeneca vaccine the most. Good riddance Daniel Andrews #strandedAussies

I have no doubt those inside the castle felt safer when the drawbridge was raised. Sadly those of us trapped outside as #StrandedAussies were made scapegoats and left to fend for ourselves for months on end.
When Australia banned its own citizens from travelling or returning there was no outrage, even though it is a direct violation of article 13 of the UNCHR… When QF cancelled flights and left Aussies stranded at the mercy of other nations and airlines there was no outrage..
Qantas left 1000’s of Australians stranded around the world when they stopped flying during the pandemic. Instead #strandedaussies relied on Singapore Airlines, Qatar & United to get back to Aus. When Qantas did fly some “rescue flights” they charged both customers & govt $$$$$$
Being outside of Au$tralia is always going to be good for my health, but these French beach sunsets are an extra dose of medicine I’ll happily accept!

Don't forget that Qantas left Australians stranded around the world during covid too so they are untrustworthy and will bail on you in your time of need. Thank goodness for other airlines, who picked up the slack and got Aussies home.

That @Qantas advert about reuniting families can get right in the bin. I did not see Qantas very interested in reuniting #StrandedAussies in 2020/21. Hypocrites of the highest order.
Travel insurance recommendations? I usually go with HCF but they are currently fucking me over w/a health insurance claim. Who has health insurance recs also! Will only need for next year before permanently leaving Au$tralia

Anyone flown Delta A350-900 on a long haul flight? Booking a quick trip to Paris for a death in the family & have found suspiciously cheap flights w/ Virgin Atlantic. Worried about sacrificing comfort for price & it’s a longer flight than the Singapore Air one we usually take!
