Status updates from the Systems Support team of the CIS department at Strathclyde University.

Issue fixed. UPS was broken causing switch to constantly reboot.
Power shutdown on Monday at 17:15 for about 1 hour on Level 13 - all internet access will be down for the whole department (except eduroam). All CIS IT services should be considered at severe risk of not being available.
cafe (ssh) is now back after updates - sorry about the unscheduled 2 hour downtime.
devweb2018 is again available from outside the University without the need for a VPN
devweb2018 is currently not available from outside the University. The should be fixed in the next 2 hours. Please use the University's VPN to access it until then.
The temporary glitch with pages hosted on personal.cis.strath.ac.uk has been resolved.
Due to a minor power cut on Friday night some bits of our labs and some offices may have no network connection. These will be fixed on Tuesday. Apologies.
Having eduroam WiFi issues in the Livingstone tower? IT services have now fixed the problem. So reconnecting should fix the problem.
sftp on cafe is now working again. apologies for any inconvenience caused.
devweb and gitlab are back. Sorry about the unplanned downtime.

Major campus networking issues. IS investigating. All services slow or not working.
Everything should be working now. No word on cause of power cut to G1, G2 and G4 postcodes.
Power cut at 1230 until 1310 - all CIS services affected.
Update: cafe is now working again. Apologies for any issues this may have caused.
Update: disk corrupt. I'm reinstalling. It should be working in about 60 minutes.
cafe, our Linux SSH server, is down. Will attempt to fix from train, but looks like it,ll be down until at least 1800 when I get home. Sorry
All has been fine with DNS for a couple of hours now :)
