The urgency for getting to hospital is to evaluate all the structures potentially involved, especially the popliteal artery which supplies blood to the lower leg. Knee dislocation can injure artery and repair is time sensitive.

#Thyroid hormones are named for the number of iodine atoms in the molecule. T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (tetraiodothyronine or thyroxine). Calcitonin also comes from thyroid but is not considered one of the “thyroid hormones.”
