5 ICU nurses for 17 patients and 20 beds. No help being given. Nurses refusing to clock in an accept 4 patient assignments. Some floors have NO nurses scheduled this morning. 37 nurses short hospital wide. Where is admin?
Keeping a young person's body alive all weekend in prep for organ donation was traumatic for me I wish my employer would have recognized this but instead...my showing any feelings was frowned upon by Mgmt
Every time someone tells me “this area is really rough be careful” I get to the area and it’s literally fine. Sometimes people are just afraid of poor people or color lol
When the float nurses always get 1 or 2 open beds, always the first up to get their admit, frequently given the worst assignments on the floor, forced to charge & sometimes w full assignment 🙄 no wonder we have gone from 18 to 5 FP nurses in 1.5 years…

Nah but have you ever realized you were gentle parenting your parents the way they should’ve done with you!? Like, why am I the parent in this equation now trying to soothe you through your temper tantrums?
The past 2-3 weeks at work have been so bad that I’ve literally been daydreaming about being dead. I really don’t know how much longer I can be bedside. I am far past burn out. No job is worth feeling this way. 🥲
Cats are so good. There’s just a little guy in my house! We hug! We don’t speak the same language! We’re best friends! He bites me! I make up little songs about him! He doesn’t know my name! We fall asleep next to each other!
