The newest version of the 'sunpy' package 5.0 has been released! In this release we focused on the first stage of restructuring our documentation, for all the highlights see our What's New: docs.sunpy.org/en/stable/what… Install 5.0 with `pip install -U sunpy` or `conda update sunpy`.
The first of two SunPy sessions at SPD is today at 12:00 in Smith Hall 231. We will be showing off multi-instrument workflows and giving out stickers!

For all Python/atomic data enthusiasts, I'm excited to announce the first release of fiasco, a Python interface to the CHIANTI atomic database! You can now install fiasco from PyPI using pip: pip install fiasco. More info in the docs: fiasco.readthedocs.io/en/stable/
Are you attending #AGU22? come and hear about the "The SunPy Project: Past, Present, and Future" given by @wtbarnes_ today at 15:25 CST! SH45B-05 agu.confex.com/agu/fm22/meeti…
Meet SolarMAP, a small python package to plot & return spacecraft HEE coords around the #sun powered by @SunPyProject. Just give it a date and objects and SolarMAP will do the rest. To install: "pip install solarmap " then import and just do "solarmap.help()"
SolarMonitor 2 relies on existing community python projects. In particular @SunPyProject Map and submap are used to plot our full disk and AR cutout images.

At the @SolarOrbiter8 workshop in Belfast this week! Looking forward to the data analysis day on Friday where we'll look at how @ESASolarOrbiter observations can be analysed within the SunPy ecosystem 🚀 We also have SunPy and NDCube stickers for attendees 🌞
Coming to the @SolarOrbiter8 workshop in Belfast in two weeks? We'll be there too - including as part of the Data Tutorial day on Friday 16th 🌞🚀 Looking forward to chatting about how @SunPyProject ecosystem can be used for @ESASolarOrbiter observations
Just two weeks until the @SolarOrbiter8 workshop in Belfast! We hope your travel plans are all in place but do get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. Information is available on the website and stay tuned for full science program coming soon. blogs.qub.ac.uk/so8belfast/
Fantastic figure by @AdamF_Astro of a multi-instrument view of the Sun with @ESASolarOrbiter and SDO/AIA and STEREO-A! 😍 Really nice example of what can be done within the @SunPyProject ecosystem!
Once again, we have a really nice filament maturing on the farside of the Sun (observed by the @EuiTelescope onboard @ESASolarOrbiter). Who wants to take bets on if/when this will errupt? :P Not to mention the other filaments trailing behind this one! #fireworks?
