Unity’s UI Toolkit looks so good now, I wish I had it when I started making my game, like half of the work was UI
To easily separate demo and full-game content, I put all game-balance references in one scriptable object and made a modified copy for the demo version #unity3d #unitytips
I noticed that my IRL local supermarket even sells flowers, so I added them to my supermarket tycoon game too🌺 #gamedev #indiegame
Game balancing isn't easy I decided to use real-life prices as a base and adjust them for my game. But other numbers will require a lot of playtesting to see how they feel #gamedev #indiedev
I added floor and wall painting to my tycoon game 🎨 Now it's possible to make the shop more unique Also it can be useful for zoning different sections @gamedev #indiedev #tycoon
I tried adding taxes to my tycoon game but it made the gameplay a lot harder I also realized how rare it is for games to include them and I actually can't think of any.. I guess it's just not very fun to pay taxes, lol #gamedev
