Always excited to explore more about reproductive and womens health in neurology, and grateful for my incredible coresidents and CCF staff for helping grow that passion! 🧠
Had a fantastic JC presentation by our PGY2 @SynapticPage discussing the use of fertility treatments in female MS patients. Conclusion: Not enough data to support that there is an elevated relapse risk after FT. Thank you Dr. Lindsay Ross and Dr.@carolinejust for the discussion!
I was recently talking with an intern from another specialty. He mentioned his undergrad was in neuroscience. Of course, I asked, why didn't you go into neurology? The reply: Oh, I'm not smart enough for that. Bull$h!t That kind of thinking breaks my heart.
Another successful monthly journal club gathering in the books! Our wonderful PGY-2 Emery Weiss discussed PLEX vs. IVIG in AChR+ myasthenic crisis, many thanks to Dr. Marquardt for hosting and moderating! 💪⚡

My very last day of non-neurology service (nephro consults), and I FINALLY see muddy brown casts. My past self struggling through Step 1 study with Pathoma is feeling so fulfilled right now.
Dr. Nakita Mortimer, my medical school classmate, a passionate & caring doctor who brought light and joy to our class, died by suicide last week. This is her. Each year in the US, 300+ doctors die by suicide, and it’s the 2nd leading cause of death among residents. #MedTwitter
