TIL the tape warp effects on the Quinns Quest music was achieved by my composer applying pressure to an actual tape deck
I recorded the tracks to a cassette tape and pushed on the motor while recording back to the computer, hehe. If you’re not a weird tape nerd like me you can use Kilohearts Tape Stop, it’s a free plugin and I use that when I’m being lazy :)

Hey #LibraryTwitter, we circulate Launchpads and I'm intrigued by the new ESL offerings, but I cannot find a way to switch the base language on the pad. Does anyone know how to do this, or if it's even possible. It's no use to me to have a pad that teaches English... in English.

You should get a library card and use it 💕 you can request books be added to the collection, or borrowed from other libraries. You can borrow ebooks and audiobooks right from your phone. You can borrow movies & TV shows. You can use a printer for cheap.

i really like the concept of magic that has a negative physical effect on the user without a proper conduit. fire magic blistering bare palms. ice magic afflicting the fingers with frostbite. healing magic pumping too much adrenaline, necromancy causing necrosis & sepsis, etc
