D&D Advice: Say yes! As a player say yes to all the cool things your DM prepared, even if it means your character could get in danger. As a DM say yes to the things your players want to do, even if your encounter could end early or if it breaks the rules a little bit.

How would you go about playing an asshole character, without actually being an asshole to other players and giving them the feeling that you disrespect them? 🤔 I am thinking something like Taryon Darrington played by Sam Riegel.

Player Advice: Not just the DM is responsible for the fun at the table. As a player, you should take care of your fellow players and the DM. Make sure to share your limelight with them, and ask yourself how you can enhance the experience for everyone at the table.

DM Advice: Don't control a player's character or tell them how their character reacts. The players only have one thing to control in this game, you've got everything else. They might feel helpless and disrespected. Only do it when you know 100% how the player would want it.

DM Advice: It's fine to tweak a monster's statistics on the fly. But make sure to not tell your players during the encounter and also not afterward. It breaks the immersion and makes the world less believable.

DM Advice: When a player asks about something that you think is obvious, their character would also see it as obvious. Don't be vague about the answer. Especially when a character's life is on the line. Your players see everything from another perspective, things get muddled.

I am currently reading Piranesi from Susanna Clarke due to a recommendation from @DailyDael in one of her videos. Am I the only one or does The House offer a great premise for a D&D campaign, possibly for only one player and one dm?

Does anyone have experience with WizKids Warlock tiles? 🧙‍♂️ I am thinking about buying the base set, and if I like it, all other expansions. But I have heard they are a little expensive and you should wait until they become cheaper.

The feedback on my first blog post has made me realize that I should create shorter posts in the future. My writing style is more a brainstorming/self-reflection kind than a strict guide. Focusing on one topic allows for a more open discussion around it. What do y'all think? 🤔
