A missed advertising opportunity.
Problem the same as the chance they cover the courts with a tarp to save time instead of drying a completely soaked court.
Do you know what’s even easier & a cheaper? A TARP!!! Why let the court get soaking wet instead of covering it with a tarp? @tennispragueopn @WTA
I miss getting frustrated at the lack of tarp use on tennis courts when it rains. I also miss tennis a bit.
Sadly, no tarps. Enjoy the longer wait and footage of frantic toweling.
If only tarps had been used. That way we would have had tennis much sooner instead of waiting for the court to dry and then getting it wet again with a pressure washer. Hopefully next year @AustralianOpen .......
There will be a much longer delay on some courts. This is the current look of Court 5 - pre pressure wash.
Gee, I wonder @AustralianOpen, will you be using any tarps to keep courts dry or will we have to wait for child laborers with towels? Imagine how much money you could raise for wildfires selling the ad rights to the tarps.
