Day 10: 3 hour drive to the other side of the Big Island (Hilo to Kona). Spent the night out in the Pacific Ocean off the coast snorkeling with some enormous Manta Rays - supposedly the only place in the world you can do this. So cool.
Day 9: ✅ 4,000+ ft up on a volcano ⛰ ✅ Active eruption 🌋 ✅ Lunar eclipse 🌘 ✅ Crystal clear night sky 🌠 What the actual hell. Not many people will ever get to see what we saw tonight. Unreal. Blessed.
Day 8: Last inter-island travel day. Non-eventful day tbh. Long waits at the Maui Airport to leave. Long waits in Hawai'i after we landed. Ready for Volcano National Park tomorrow. [Did get to see some cute wild cats in Hilo upon arrival]

Day 7: What a day. Spent the morning touring Maui Gold (the only pineapple plantation in the US). And then ended Maui with the worlds best luau. Gonna be tough to have a better day than today.
Day 6: Snorkled again off Black Rock Beach again and saw 3 Green Sea Turtles today. And when you cant hit the world famous links but have to get your fix - you hit up Mini Golf.
Day 5: First full day in Maui (first less-than-ideal weather day no room to complain). Snorkeling off of Black Rock Beach was the highlight of the day, capped by some late night music.
Day 4: Travel day. Goodbye Kauai. Hello Maui! First stop in Maui: Trying out the famous "Shave Ice" (holy hell is it good). And then off for an evening of relaxation.
Day 3: One last adventurous day on Kauai. A trip into the Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali Coast. All capped off by a hike to (on!) the Waipo Waterfall (aka the waterfall in Jurassic Park)
Day 2: Another Kauai adventure day. Doubling up. First a 1000 ft hike up "Sleeping Giant" and then a trip to "The Queens Bath" and the black rock shoreline.
