I’ve been trying to get tech companies to drop degree requirements for years. Some of the best programmers I’ve ever placed didn’t go to uni. They started coding in their bedrooms at 12, started working at 16 and were in Senior Dev roles by age 20. producthunt.com/news/320-googl…

My dad passed from COVID this morning. Fuck @BorisJohnson for not taking it seriously. Fuck @MattHancock for screwing the NHS. And fuck all the journalists pretending to suddenly be outraged and surprised that the Tories are a death cult. His death is on your hands.

Code tests? What’s your view? I think it’s all about how it’s communicated. I make sure the candidate thinks the company is a great fit before I even mention the test. I also totally reassure them that if they do well in the test they are guaranteed an interview. Never fails

I mean, I want to have a job, but I refuse to do a 6-8hr coding challenge without pay.

Whoever is advising the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be aware that the UK is facing a devastating daily death toll and 6.5million unemployed due to the lockdown. We don’t give a ***k about which newspapers are and aren’t allowed to pay homage to them.

re #meAt20... why are you giving the intelligence services more profile data on you? And why, by now, don’t people know these memes are doing that? Every time, EVERY TIME, we have to remind people. Especially now, as many #covid19 tracking apps are passing your data around too

This is what I’ve been saying for years. Also mass hiring so much easier having co-located teams working remotely. Thru necessity people are waking up and realising this is the way forward. #RemoteWorking #Hiring

CEO of a 400+ employee business says WFH is working well, he may not renew his SF lease to save $10m a year (office + lunches etc) and instead do a couple of all-hands offsites a year (much cheaper). Lots of others must be thinking similarly- CRE could be permanently altered.

I got this on the first try. 💪 Requires some thinking. Have a go!
