Congratulations to Sir Roger Penrose, who was just awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics. He was also a prolific designer of aperiodic tile patterns with discoveries such as the "dart and kite" tessellation that allows 2 modules, laid out randomly, to cover a plane with no gaps.
