For #SomethingBig we have a section of one of our early 1800s maps of Edinburgh. The linen backed folded map measures 146 x 176 cm and includes proposals for new roads in the old town.
#HealthArchives today and the 1853 surgeon's book. The surgeon examined the boys before they entered the Hospital and records 'diseases got over' e.g. whooping cough, measles, cow pox or small pox and/or scarlet fever.
It is #SomethingNew for #Archive30 today. The Heriot Club was founded in 1891 and we recently received their records and artefacts which included these silver cigarette boxes.

For our #UnusualItem we have a 19th century gunpowder flask. Unfortunately we do not have any records of when or why it is in our archive.
For #ArchiveCollection we have The Heriot Golf Club. Recently donated to the archive the collection contains fixture cards, minutes and winners information dating back to 1898.
