Sound’s annual IMAGINE luncheon was a major success! With the support of our guests and Leader Sponsors BNBuilders and The Martyn Family Foundation, we raised more than $200,000 to support our housing programs. These programs serve more than 1,000 people in our community.
The American Cancer Society’s Hope Gala united more than 350 guests on October 26th to “Never Say Never” in the fight against cancer. The event raised a record $560,000, helping to fund lifesaving research and vital programs and services for those who have been touched by cancer.
MOHAI’s 34th Annual History Makers Gala on Nov.15th, was a success! The event raised funds to benefit educational programming. Raj Shah & Akhil Shah were honored for their contributions to industry in our community. Gerald Donaldson was recognized as MOHAI’s Educator of the Year.
Generous donors, board members and sponsors gathered for the Seattle Aquarium’s SeaChange breakfast, raising more than $146,000.
On October 5, over 500 guests celebrated the premiere of the new Burke Museum. A highlight of the evening was hearing from Dr. Kirk Johnson, Sant Director of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History that Burke boasts the “finest Tyrannosaurs rex skull in the world!”
The Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) held its APEX (Acknowledging Professional EXcellence) Awards September 26, celebrating legal luminaries from throughout Washington. Awards included the Justice Charles Z. Smith Excellence in Diversity Award and the Award of Merit!

The Junior League of Seattle (JLS) hosted its 4th Annual Catalyst Luncheon at the Washington Athletic Club. Guests celebrated JLS’ 95th anniversary and toasted Maureen Benoliel as she was presented the 2018 Dorothy Stimson Bullitt Community Service Award.
The 2019 Burke Museum Curator's Dinner featured a lively gala auction and dinner. Jack and Jan Creighton and Mike and Lynn Garvey, Honorary Co-Chairs for the Campaign for the New Burke, were honored. Guests eagerly anticipate the opening of the brand-new museum in October 2019.
Northwest Center hosted the annual Derby gala on April 27, 2019. Guests and sponsors raised more than $300,000, all of which directly benefits children and adults with disabilities across Washington through programs of education, therapy and employment.
On April 13, 2019, Seattle Rep held its annual gala, UNTOLD: YOUR STORY IS OUR FUTURE, which raised a record-breaking $1,000,000 for Seattle Rep’s artistic productions and programming.
Over 300 guests went all in for Washington women at YWCA’s 21st Annual Inspire Luncheon in Snohomish County. Poet and author Nikki Giovanni delivered a rousing keynote, and inspired guests raised more than $218,000 for local women and girls.
On April 13th Washington's National Park Fund paid tribute to Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks. A sold-out crowd raised more than $303,000. $100,000 will be invested in junior rangers, search and rescue, and citizen science/marmot research.
Compass Housing Alliance held the Celebration of Giving dinner & auction on March 30th. Guests enjoyed wine tasting before the night kicked off with dinner and music. The evening raised more than $245,000 for Compass’ emergency services and affordable housing programs.
