昔、数学者で京大教授の森毅先生が著書の中で「その時いくら考えてもわからないことや解けないことは放置したり忘れ去るのではなく、いつも頭の中で飼い慣らすのだ。そうしていれば何年も何十年も経った時、まるで氷が溶けるようにわかる時が来るから」という言葉を思い出しました。
父親が「実は60を過ぎるまで量子力学がよく分からなかったんだ。最近は色んな大学の講義を無料で聞けるから、繰り返し再生してやっと腑に落ちたよ」と言うので隙あらば寝ている自分は背筋が伸びる思いがしたし、60歳を過ぎても20歳の時に理解できなかった概念を理解するような人生でありたいと思った💪

【suspectとdoubtの違いは？】 どちらも「疑う」と訳せますが、意味は正反対。suspectは「〜であると疑う」、doubtは「〜ではないと疑う」です。suspect≒think、doubt≒don’t thinkと考えると覚えやすい。suspectのsはthinkの音に似ていて、doubtのdはdon’t thinkのd、と考えるとさらに覚えやすい🐼
