Going through some old documents/pictures/papers and found a paper copy of something really cool. My dad was a published environmental chemist. hindawi.com/journals/jamc/… This was published about a year before he passed away.

I've not been posting much at all lately. Too dang busy! But today changed my mind about posting again. I attended a QPR Suicide Prevention training. Well worth the two hours I spent learning how to be there to support students, friends, and family that might need it.

Privileged to have known one of the chemists highlighted in this article, Dr. Gouterman, at @UWChemistry I didn't work directly in his lab, but he was somebody I enjoyed working with at every opportunity.

Irony is people attacking teachers by saying that they “don’t care about the kids,” when, for many of us, the ONLY reason we stay in education (in spite of the impossible expectations, low pay, unpaid hours, buying supplies, etc.) is because we care so much about our students.

My school is getting ready to go Hybrid in April. Should be ... uh ... fun.

I had a student say she was scared to go outside after what happened in Atlanta. #StopAsianHate

Woohoo! My son got accepted into a teaching program. Unlike father here, he wants to be an elementary school teacher. I'm just beaming with joy for him today.

I guess I can make it official here. I'm now in the job-hunt for a Vice Principal/Assistant Principal position. My administrative internship is finishing up soon, and I'll have my Principal Certification. Looking all throughout western Washington. Wish me luck!

Am I the only one that thinks something is wrong here? "Meet the Mighty Ketone"!! Err....uh....unless I completely forgot O-chem, that's no ketone there. #ChemChat

Putting the finishing touches on a presentation for tomorrow's Coffee Talk P.D. at my school. #FHStweets

Thank you Rebecca! I've had so many responses, and am finally catching up today. If possible, can you follow for a day or two so I can send a DM to share contact information? Thank you. Lowell

Hey there Teachers in my PLN: Are any of you in a "hybrid" model with some (maybe 1/2) of your students in school on any given day? Curious how that is going?

Attending a Race and Equity Webinar with @RethinkSchools Just listened to Dyan Watson read "Black Boys in White Spaces." rethinkingschools.org/articles/black… Humbled.
