Fellow textile people! Has anyone seen any fabric like this before? I’m thinking it’s furnishing fabric inspired by 18th-century Spitalfields silks, made in the late 19th or 20th centuries. I would appreciate any thoughts or leads. Thank you!
I've been awarded an Alborada Fund grant to work with Aba Eyifa-Dzidzienyo, University of Ghana. We are interested to meet curators and academics to discuss textiles and history, social justice, gender, environmental issues, diaspora, Ghanian artefacts& provenance PM to meet us.

Pamela Whitaker visited Murray Edwards College again this week and today she facilitated a restoring art therapy workshop for our students. Tomorrow we will discuss pedagogies that involve working with textiles and hope to build this into a co-written paper.

Latin America was the deadliest region for journalists last year - more than half the global total of journalists killed in 2022 were in Latin America. They were covering crime, gangs and environment @LatAmB
