Secretary Rubio confirming that Starmer recognising Palestinian state rewarded Hamas and set back peace process
We are closer to a lasting peace in the Middle East than at any point in my lifetime. Still work to do, but that we are this close is a staggering achievement. Make no mistake, this point has been reached *despite* Starmer’s foolish actions, as Secretary Rubio makes clear:

Well, better blame the other seven countries that recognised them then. But what about the other 129 countries that recognised Palestine one year AFTER Hamas was formed? Are they all also responsible for the resistance group which by the way, 187 countries do recognise as one.
Rubio is lying. Starmer and Macron recognising Palestine helped force Israel into accepting a deal, which is pretty much the deal that Hamas agreed to months ago before Israel reneged.

Starmer gets it wrong again. Surely experience should begin to teach him not to side against American foreign policy ? His credibility as an international statesman is now in tatters. He is distrusted both at home and abroad. Running off to India won't save him
There will never be peace in the Muddle East (sic) when there is ingrained religious hatred driven by Islam. We need to isolate that region from the civilised world.
No Richard... Rubio offered an opinion which is false because given the timescale it's obvious that it made absolutely no difference at all and the recognition of a Palestinian State now gives everyone something to build on in order to achieve the 2 state solution.
