The Empire is EVERYTHING that happens when evil is unchecked and allowed to thrive. It spans galaxies, it destroys identities of entire peoples, it weaponizes fear and suffocates hope because that's what it must do. It can do that because they have the capabilities for it.
Evil is restless, omnipresent, and opportunistic. And when given time to breathe and thrive away from our consciousness, it will strike using every capability that humanity gifted it to destroy us. Evil, at its worst, knows humanity like no other, and will use it against them.
