The antidote to complexity Turn your chaos into calm with a simple, visual grid Join me as I build Toad in public, one feature at a time. By @NotesInMargin
To do lists aren’t enough and quickly become unwieldy. Spreadsheets are too much. Toad is a simple grid that gives your projects and life the structure that you need. It’s built with one focus: simplicity. All you need to get organised and nothing you don’t.
The biggest feedback from regular Toad users? “It’s just simple.” I realised I wasn’t showing that clearly enough on the landing page, so we fixed it. The new Toad in Action page is all about what makes it different: no setup, no fluff, no friction. meettoad.co.uk/toad-in-action/
Has anyone come across any great tools for identifying leads?
Yes, meettoad.co.uk has been an inspiration! Thank you. I'll try it for new project, too much to move for the existing one!🤝⭐️
This may sound very stupid, but it's a real game changer asking "Do you have any clarifying questions?" when using @cursor_ai
Thank you and for anyone who is interested in how Toad can give them a simple way to organise product development, marketing, sales etc., I would be happy to organise a quick call to run through! Or if you just want a free trial to see if it's for you - drop me a message!

How do people track their distribution outreach when starting out? Create your own CRM? Use an existing CRM?
I'm adamant that some people have their twitter on some form of auto liking for whoever they follow.
Wins for the day 🐸 Ship: Fixed an issue with the landing page and added inline editing to template names. Grow: Set up a call with a student society next week to run them through Toad. Whilst not my target users, a good opportunity to get into conversation with a lot of…
What are people's views on removing beta users who haven't used the product in over a month? I don't see an issue with sending an email to check if they want to keep their account, and if not, then delete. The promise of being a Toad Beta user was free Toad Pro for life
I think it's so cool what you can do with 2 / 3 hours focused work each day.
Wins for the day 🐸 1️⃣ Ship: Crushed a bug that was slowing down task editing. 2️⃣ Nurture: Built a new 2-day follow-up sequence for different user types. 3️⃣ Grow: Secured a 12-person student society to trial Toad!
Am I the only one who really likes seeing people talk about their product, how it's grown etc., but finds it really boring when people tweet about how their followers have grown? It's quite dry
What are some of the most bizarre and interesting ways people have secured customers in the early days? Thinking along the lines of Paul Graham's do things that don't scale!
Part of my distribution strategy started focused on UK University students. I saw societies as quite a good distribution funnel offering society committees a Toad Pro trial and their members a Toad Personal trial. Getting the societies on board has been quite easy but getting…
I was speaking to a CFO when Toad initially launched to solo users and whilst he liked the idea, he wasn't sold on it for a tool for himself - fair enough! He did comment that this would be helpful in a team setting though. So, this morning, I shared the Team Toad intro video…
This is exactly why we built Toad. Simplicity isn't a feature; it's the foundation. Especially in the tools we use to organize our work. Toad = Simple grid. Clear focus. Less chaos.
“Simple” works in fitness. “Simple” works in business. “Simple” works everywhere. Keep it simple.
