This is what domestic terrorism looks like. This is Donald Trump’s America. Imagine the police response if these were Black people BREAKING INTO the Capitol. If you don’t see white supremacy and a total threat to democracy when you see this, it’s because you don’t want to.

Scores of Trump supporters breached the Capitol building and neared the Senate floor on Wednesday afternoon as thousands cheered and clashed with police in front of the building. nyti.ms/3rZGFkO

Showing red vs. blue maps leads people to see America as more divided—and judge people more by their state's stereotypes. Data: purple maps of state proportions are more accurate, and reduce perceived polarization and stereotypes. spssi.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.111… purplestatesofamerica.org

My dad is a lifelong Republican. He lives in TX. He entered last night undecided. He just texted to say that, even though he agrees w/ Trump on a lot of policies, the debate showed him that he cannot hold his nose & vote for him. There are a lot of voters like my dad out there

Pictures don’t do the 🌝 justice 😍. I guess the silver lining of smoke-filled-air is a beautifully colored moons (and sunsets 🌅). @ The Estates at Sugarloaf Mountain instagram.com/p/CFzRHtshSRu/…

If you define success solely in terms of gaining wealth, achievement, or influence, what you often lose is freedom. One of the greatest accomplishments in life is earning the freedom to choose how you spend your time. No currency is more valuable—or more scarce—than autonomy.

Tisk-tisk Mr @GregAbbott_TX maybe there should have been a bit more listening to the wise warnings of @JudgeClayJ #COVID19 #TexasCovid19 #TexasCOVID

As Texas sees its highest numbers of positive tests and hospitalizations, Republican Gov. Greg Abbott has advised residents of the state to stay at home. “The safest place for you is at your home." cnn.it/2Nn9B33

Some truth being spoken right there 👇🏻 Well said @KenTabor

For all of my California-based tech community members soon moving to Texas, welcome. Also, please don't try a startup in your garage during the Summer. Your snacks will melt, your computer will melt, you will melt. everything will melt. Wait until Fall 😉

Stress doesn't have to be debilitating. Data: when people reframe stress as a challenge rather than a hindrance, their job performance improves—and health does too. Instead of denying stress, we can own it and harness it: I’m stressed because I care. nytimes.com/2020/04/01/wel…
