11:29pm study check, retweet/favorite this if you’re up studying or making your watchlist for Monday, you TRULY can never study or prepare enough as knowledge & self-sufficiency are key to success in the long run, never forget 90% of traders lose & its due to lack of preparation!
To the generation who grew up shouting 'KOBE' anytime they threw something. Don't stop doing it, don't let the tradition die.
In trading u must constantly be on guard against slips in discipline One bad trade turned profitable can set u up for a huge loss down the road One loss can trigger revenge trading or overtrading One profitable trade can lead to overconfidence Remain vigilant against yourself
Your biggest loser is always the position you think about most. It has the most mindshare and it's negative mindshare. Do yourself a favor and sell the loser, bury it and never look back. Get some positive momentum going again by focusing on something new.
The worst thing about a big loss isn't the financial loss but the indecisiveness that follows. It's hard for scared money to make money. Positing sizing is important. Don't let a loss take you out of the game financially or mentally.
I look at it this way. Why do you even need to have FOMO knowing that there will be millions of other good trading opportunities during your trading career that you can catch? Sitting and waiting is where it's at.
When you want it so bad and believe you can actually do it and then combine your ambition with dedication, perseverance and the right strategy/mentor, there’s literally NOTHING you can’t accomplish over time!
Focus on your own trading and your own work, get inspired by others, but realize that we're all different and you can't be anyone else
You want to learn from your mistakes, but if you spend too much time focusing on how you failed, you become an expert on failing. The more efficient route is to learn from someone great the few things you should do, not try to figure out the millions of things you shouldn't.
Becoming a champion level trader is about developing trading skill, not finding a Holy Grail system. But seeing as you can't learn everything all at once, in order to become great, you must first learn to be great at one thing. Most individuals completely miss this point.
Higher price targets = Raise liquidity to dump into OR lure in more long retail to help their long position Lower Price Targets = Already short OR they love the company long term and want to mop up shares lower
“Most successful people have had rough starts, false starts, slow starts in life. People don’t remember how you started but how you finish. Don't be embarrassed by your circumstances if you are working hard to improve them.”- @iancassel #SaturdayMotivation
Markets are created to sell into. Liquidity is created in order to sell large amounts of stock into a market, while not scaring away new retail. This is an art form. The market is not a charity. There is an agenda to all this. Govern yourselves accordingly.
Ridiculously overbought stocks tend to go much higher, and highly oversold stocks tend to go much lower. Simply b/c they attract the most stubborn of shortsellers & dip buyers. No one short w/ size wants to cover at the top, & no one long size wants to stop out into capitulation.
Tips to avoid FOMO: Have an entry checklist Record mistakes No trading chat room Don’t read/watch the news Ignore noise on Twitter Only look for your chart signal Work on something else (Improving edge, optimizing process) Read a book Meditate - @LoneStockTrader
The more you crave for a trade The worse decision you will make Always be patient and wait for the right set up
