In Japan people commute the equivalent of Ottawa to Toronto (~350km straight line) in the same time it takes me from 50km away in Burlington :( I love Canada but we need to lock in on making it more commutable, especially in the GTA
Yes, the Finch LRT is too slow. I know, I rode it twice It has to move faster. I'll bring a council item to give it signal priority, and see what else we can do.
NYC's congestion relief zone is helping commercial vehicles get through the network faster. Travel times from the chart below: 44% got faster 40% stayed the same 16% got slower One observation is $9 is clearly low for the toll.

NEW - Cities including Toronto say the oversized signs the Ford government is making them replace speed cameras with don’t fit on standard street poles. The province will now pay for new polls to accommodate them, according to Toronto Mayor Chow.
This is great to see a layout of what's to come. Let's hope we get some timelines in the near future.

Sources indicate that Rideau Transit Maintenance (RTM) is expected to take over the O-Train East Extension on Oct 27. News on Substantial Completion is anticipated soon to support this milestone. Pre-trial running is planned on Nov 03, one week after substantial completion.
The Province of Ontario announces that Caledonia Station on the GO Barrie Line is now under construction. It will directly connect to the soon-to-open Line 5 Eglinton LRT, creating an excellent transit hub near many proposed developments. news.ontario.ca/en/release/100…
