(Well, it's a very interesting story, if you'll give me the time to tell! It all started about 10 years ago, I think it was in June. Or maybe it was July? I always get my J months crossed. Who's idea was it to put the two months that start with the same letter right next to
eachother? Maybe if there was a buffer in between them, like May. June always felt more fitting as a spring month anyways. Or maybe they could put all three J months together, right after one another? January, June, July. Maybe then Febuary wouldn't be so crummy, it would be a
relief if anything. Finally, a break from all this J nonsense! Anyways, I was sitting on the porch that morning sipping an ice cold glass of sweet lemon tea, perfect for that Junely heat. My wife, god rest her soul, was out getting groceries. She took the car with the decent
radio, of course, even though she Knew I was planning on visiting the Pottsons for lunch that afternoon, and Jim Pottson's house is nearly a 30 minute drive out from our house. What does she expect me to do without a radio for 30 minutes? Live with my thoughts? That Snake!
Anyways, god rest her soul, she was out getting Frozen Peas as we were fresh out and she was dead set on making one of her famous "Chicken pot pies" for dinner that evening. Why not just make the chicken pot pie without the peas, you ask? I was wondering the same thing.
In fact, I can't think of a single dish in which Peas are the staple ingredient, much less enough of a requirement that you'd need to go out of your way to drive to the grocery store just to buy. But who am I to question my wife's cooking? I don't even like chicken pot pie that
