I think it's possible that the economics have changed and that homeowners in certain cities are, in fact, economically incentivized to support greater density. Not everything is just the same old-cycle of life. Greater density = more desirable = higher rents and resale.

This is the funny thing. I can actually, in my head, think of positive sum trade deals with a lot of countries. But mostly it would have to be removing barriers. Like for example, maybe BYD could set up a factory in Tennessee in exchange for market access.
It doesn’t have to just be soybean sales. Maybe in a trade deal with Japan, they would agree to buy a major U.S. steelmaker and do significant capital upgrades to its facilities.
